You walk into a lot of clinic waiting rooms, and you can feel it. The room is quiet in the wrong way. You can hear every word at reception, there's nowhere for your attention to go, and it all just feels a bit clinical and tense. That was Seline Clinic's problem too. They wanted calming background music to soften that feeling but doing it properly would have meant running separate speakers into every single room.
We supplied, tested and commissioned a 6-zone background music and public address system for the clinic, working alongside one of our system integrator partners to get it done. Instead of treating background music and paging as two separate problems, we specified the TOA VM 3000 Series, a system built to handle both from one backbone. 
That mattered for two reasons. First, it meant each of the six zones could be controlled on its own, so reception, the waiting area and treatment rooms could each run their own audio without extra wiring being pulled through the building. Second, and more importantly for a clinic, it meant they never had to trade away reliable paging just to get nicer background music. The system's built in emergency microphone guarantees that urgent announcements always come through clearly. Everything else, the zones, the music, the flexibility, was built around that requirement, not instead of it. The team had to work around the clinic's opening hours or route cabling through a space that couldn't be closed.
Today, Seline Clinic has calm, consistent background audio running across all six zones, with clear paging and emergency announcements built into the very same system. No separate boxes bolted on, no dead zones between rooms. The waiting experience finally feels the way a clinic should feel, without giving up the ability to make an urgent announcement the moment it's needed.
