How Techniline equipped Coca-Cola Arena's Restaurants and Concourse with a Complete Sound System

Eleven equipment lines, thirty units in total, covering background sound, paging, live mixing and DJ playback across Coca-Cola Arena's restaurants and walk in areas. 

The system was installed across the restaurant and walk in areas of Coca-Cola Arena, the indoor arena at City Walk in Dubai, delivered to Dubai Arena Operations LLC. Rather than a single room, this is a multi zone rollout: background music and paging through the concourse and walkways, paired with full live sound and DJ capability inside the venue's restaurant and lounge spaces. 

The core of the system is built from two Wharfedale GPL passive speaker models: four GPL15 cabinets, each a single 15 inch driver rated at 2000W peak, and four GPL12 cabinets, each a single 12 inch driver rated at 1800W peak, both in a wooden paint finish. Running two cabinet sizes side by side points to a system tuned zone by zone, larger cabinets covering the bigger concourse and walk in spaces, smaller ones filling tighter areas such as restaurant seating or bar corners. 

Four Wharfedale GPL218B subwoofers, each built around dual 18 inch drivers and rated at 8000W peak, add the low end weight a venue built for live entertainment needs, whether that is a DJ set or a live band, rather than background music alone. 

Power comes from a Wharfedale DP4100 amplifier, rated at 4x1700W into 4 ohm or 4x1000W into 8 ohm, alongside two DP2200 units, each capable of running at 100V line as well as 4 and 8 ohm, giving the flexibility to run some zones as a distributed 100V background system and others as direct low impedance zones for higher output where it is needed. 

Eight WPB1 wall brackets are listed on the order as mounts for Wharfedale's Titan series, worth confirming whether these are mounting the GPL cabinets supplied here or a separate existing Titan speaker set already at the venue. Two Wharfedale SC48FIR Versadrive speaker management units, each with 4 XLR inputs and 8 XLR outputs, sit between the amplifiers and speakers to manage crossover, EQ and limiting across the different zones from a central point, which matters once a system is split across several rooms and speaker types the way this one is. 

For live sound, the order includes a Midas M32RLIVE digital console, a 40 input desk with 16 Midas PRO microphone preamplifiers and 25 mix buses, paired with a Midas DL16 stage box offering 16 further Midas preamplifiers alongside ULTRANET and ADAT connectivity back to the console. Together they point to a proper live mixing setup, built to handle a band or a full live event inside the venue rather than just background playback. 

Two Pioneer CDJ3000 multimedia players and a Pioneer DJMA9 four channel club mixer complete a dedicated DJ setup, industry standard equipment for a venue that wants to run DJ sets as well as live acts through the same rooms.
