Not only will this headphone amp take a mixer input, but it is also designed to pass through the signal of an XLR equipped microphone, and both signals have level controls. You can let your singer or other musician dial in as much "me" as they want, without affecting the rest of the band. It will even pass through the 48V phantom power for condenser microphones. This is perfect for studio or "silent practicing" through a mixer. The MA400 has outputs for both 1/4" and 1/8" headphone plugs.
